    Acknowledgement of Country

In the Spirit of Reconciliation, the St. Pius X school community recognises the ongoing role of the traditional custodians of this land, the Tubba-Gah peoples of the Wiradjuri nation. It is on their ancestral lands that we continue our learning journey together.

We extend that respect to Elders, past, present and emerging. Furthermore, all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our school community. Acknowledging their presence and spiritual connection to Country.

In the light of faith, we work towards a more accepting and humble school environment for all.

    Principal's Address

Dear St Pius X School Community

A massive congratulations to Ralph, Mason E, Ali, Amahlii, Stella, Katelynn, Lace and Kim from Year Six who made their Confirmation over the weekend. Thanks to all staff and families who attended weekend Masses to show their support to these students.

    NAPLAN Reports

Last week we sent home the 2025 NAPLAN reports for Years Three and Five. If you are yet to receive the report please check your child’s school bag or speak to your child’s teacher.

    St Johns Primary Performance

Today the whole school attended the performance by St Johns Primary - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Congratulations to all performers and staff for a wonderful production, and thanks to Mr Anothony O’Leary for the invite to attend.

    Bishop Michael Visit

This Tuesday St Pius X is having a visit from the eighth Bishop of the Bathurst Diocese. We welcome Bishop Michael McKenna who will be spending time with our Year Six and Three students.

    Have a great week.

    Assistant Principal's Address

    School Uniform

A reminder that students are expected to wear their full Winter school uniform throughout Term 3.  This includes long sleeve shirts and ties.  Please ensure that haircuts are neat and tidy, with no ‘hair-art'. This will save us a phone call to request the problem to be rectified.

Most importantly, make sure all clothing is clearly labelled so we can return lost items quickly to the owner.

    Attendance

Regular attendance helps students develop discipline and a sense of responsibility. It prepares them for future commitments.

Regular school attendance is a fundamental aspect of character development that prepares students for the responsibilities and commitments they will encounter in various facets of their lives. The habits formed through regular attendance contribute to the overall success and wellbeing of students in both their academic and future professional journeys.

If you are concerned about your child’s attendance you can seek advice from

    NSW ParentLine 1300 1300 52.

    Book Fair Week!

Our annual Book Fair is this Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st July in the Library.

There will be a huge range of great books for sale, as well as lots of fun stationery!

Students can buy items during their normal class Library lessons and also at first break/lunchtimes.

The Book Fair will also be open before and after school, both days, for parents that want to come along with their children to peruse and buy any books: 8.30am-9am and 3.20pm-4pm.

Eftpos and cash are both accepted.

This is the major fundraiser for purchasing new items for the Library for your children, as the school receives a commission on all sales, so please support our Book Fair if you can.

Wishing you a great week, Mr Schwager

    Dubbo Stampede

With six weeks to go, it's time to register for the Dubbo Stampede again!

On Sunday 7th September the infamous annual running / walking festival will be held. This year is different in that it will start at Ollie Robins Oval. Choose between the 5.3km, 10km, 21.1km or for those who are really up for a challenge, 42.2km. There will also be a new category of the Meerkat Mile, aimed at 5 -12 year olds.

Most of all it's a great opportunity for a great day out as a family to enjoy the sunshine and start Father’s Day with a bang!

Since 2022, St Pius X have won the school category for the most entries, an easy $500 that goes back into the school. Last year the school also gave the participants a $10 voucher to spend at Burgies. I'm hoping to do it all again!! All you need to do is when you register, nominate St Pius X as your school. You can even get your friends and family to do the same.

With the money that we won, we have bought numbered flags that were used at the Infants’ athletics carnival.

To register or find out more information click on the following link or search Dubbo Stampede.

Hope to see lots of you out there!
