Learning and Wellbeing

St Pius X values a safe and positive learning environment for all students. Our school values Kind, Connect and Respect underpin the learning and wellbeing at St Pius X. Our school is in the process of developing a new Wellbeing and behaviour policy. It is based on explicit expectations that are taught to the students with opportunities for these behaviours to be praised and validated. Our staff have also participated in Trauma Informed Practice to provide a safe learning environment to allow all students to optimise their learning opportunities.

Our teachers work collaboratively to design scope and sequence and assessment planning. This allows for consistency of practice and implementation of the teaching and learning cycles in all Key Learning Areas.
